Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

We must have an application to move forward.
in foster in Bothell, WA
DIESEL is a VERY lucky dog...On a cold, icy morning he was found running among the 18-Wheelers in a Produce Warehouse complex dodging the trucks. A good Samaritan saw a couple trucks actually aim for him. He jumped out and Diesel came running. Now what to do with him...in a strange town. Through several phone calls he got my number and I agreed to take him. In his gas-guzzling 18-Wheeler, he drove 25 mins south (out of his way) to meet me to give me the dog. He had already given the dog a turkey breakfast and let him sleep in his warm cab.
Diesel has been an absolute sweetheart. We are putting him as a Lab/Staffordshire Terrier mix...mostly Lab. He loves being with other dogs. He can be a little rough with the smaller ones not realizing his size. He does weigh 50#s and we expect him to get to be 70 or 80#s. He's not huge like a Great Dane...just solid.
He loves to sleep in my house and, although he's not perfect around cats, he leaves them alone most of the time. I would not trust him totally alone. His DOB is 9/13/22.. so he's still young. Diesel would make a great family pet.
Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.
If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060.

Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.
All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.
HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/
This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.
Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
