Danny Lee is a whippet mix. He came to us as a crisis response foster when he and his human were living outside in freezing weather.
Danny loves other dogs, but despite his petite size is a strong and avid wrestling champion. He does best with dogs that have similar play styles and are good dog communicators.
Danny has done really well on housebreaking, but does sometimes backslide when stressed. He needs a home that has a schedule/routine and is ok working with him while he learns he’s safe and home. He’s had a tough background and come so far - and is a complete love. He likes his toys, and giving kisses. He’s one of the fastest runners we’ve seen, and can also jump high. When he’s all done playing likes to sit directly at your side or in your lap.
When Danny is excited you’re home, and is ready to go out, he is vocal.
He would prefer a family who will make sure his exercise and socializing needs are met, and that has another dog, or will consider adopting him with his best friend. They should be patient and love active and intelligent dogs that need the mind worked with the body.
He’s been around all people, all ages, and has done well. We do not know about cats but do not recommend.
