Meet this hunk a hunk of burning love, Arlo!
Arlo just came to us a little over a week ago. He has passed his stray hold and is ready to start getting vetted. He will be in the foster to adopt program. He still needs some shots and to be neutered.
Arlo's story is so sad. He was seen on a lost and found page in January. Not sure what happened or if he ever found his owner or not, but fast forward to a little over a week ago and witnesses observed a car driving up to a school , opening the door, throwing a ball out and over the school fence and then when the dog ran out of the car to retrieve it, they left. Unclear if this was the finder in January or who it was but whoever they are they have a brain full of hair because this boy is amazing.
Super people friendly. Wiggle butt alert. Just wants to be with you and on you and hugging you (or mounting which will go away soon) but he is pure love and happiness. When I raised my voice he cowered and when I raised my hand to do something he cowered. So he has been treated roughly I suspect. He is very happy considering.
Don't know if he is dog friendly but I suspect he may be. He does play bow through the window with some of the resident dogs but is not too fond of a few as well. So slow intros may be needed. He is interested in cats but easy enough to distract. Very food motivated. I feel he would be good with older mannerly children. He is big and has no knowledge of personal space. Prime snuggler and pig snorer. He is a special boy!
