My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rayo is the cutest  well mannered bundle of love you could dream up, and a master snuggler. His ideal weight should be in the 14-15Lb range. This long legged 3 year old has the gracefulness, beauty, and athleticism of a ballet dancer (who needs a little work on his moves ;-). Though he might not be eligible to join a ballet company, we bet he’d at least make a good agility candidate. He’s already mastered flying over 4 foot baby gates with ease (always toward his person).

He is friendly, though does show a preference for the ladies, and is not shy about begging for pets. Anyone who meets him can’t help but fall helplessly and hopelessly in love. He is so affectionate, there’s just no way to resist wanting to bond with this angel.

Rayo is 110% a companion dog. He is not in favor of being left alone for long periods of time. When he has to be, he eagerly awaits his person’s return and does jumping spins to let them know how happy he is they’ve come back. His match is going to be with someone who has plenty of cuddle and lap time available, and who he will be able to stay near most of the time.

His house training skills are good, so long as he gets regular bathroom breaks. He's good in the car. He’s not a fan of being crated, but will eventually settle if he has to be for a few hours. At night he sleeps in a crate next to his foster’s bed. He goes in and right to sleep. Though, we imagine he wouldn’t protest if allowed to sleep in bed instead.

Rayo has been fine around gentle small dog savvy older kids. He has also fostered with both dogs and cats without any problems. However, his preference is definitely human companionship over other dogs, he would choose to be only dog inside the home where he could be the center of human attention.

While not high energy, Rayo does need daily exercise (walks) and would love a home with a backyard he could explore and play fetch in. He’s such a good boy. He knows to sit and comes when called. He is so smart and with someone dedicated to training with him could learn all kinds of new things, it would serve to give his sharp mind some exercise.

If you are looking for a true companion to be your constant and dependable sidekick Rayo is your guy. This sweetheart is ready and more than willing to find his furever family/person and shower them with unconditional love.

Rayo is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. His adoption fee is $480. He is being fostered in Tualatin, OR.

You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog

You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped out of the area. Home checks are part of the adoption process.

PLEASE NOTE: Rayo’s actual breed mix is unknown. Any posted breed is nothing more than a guess at a breed that has looks at least somewhat similar to him.
