Meet "Scrappy"

Earlier this morning when Phyllis from Four Paws Rescue stopped for a cup of coffee outside of her office building she noticed a Found Dog flier. If you are unfamiliar with the Tribeca area, the area is surrounded by lofts and fine restaurants. Her building is one block South of the West Side Highway. She dialed the number on the flier immediately and spoke to Scrappy's rescuer.

Scrappy was found just last Wednesday wondering around Greenwich Street at 1:00am. The local police station was going to take him to the ACC, but Scrappy's rescuer decided to take him in and foster him until his owner could be found. So far NO LUCK.

Scrappy is not microchipped, unaltered, and about 8months old. Phyllis searched the lost reports filed with Animal Care and Control and again, no luck.

Scrappy's rescuer tells us that Scrappy is a sweet boy who loves to gives kisses!
Scrappy is well socialized and gets along with other dogs. In fact, whenever Scrappy is out for a walk passersby are taken aback by his beauty and compliment his sweet personality.

Scrappy is scheduled for vetting tomorrow (4/29/10). He will be neutered and given shots and then be available for adoption. Scrappy appears to be housbroken and walks well on lead.

Scrappy is currently in foster care with his rescuer and is doing great; however, the rescuer's male dog is not too fond of other dogs, so it's a bit overwhelming for the rescuer.
