Phineas was picked up by animal control officers as a stray off the streets of Hayward. He coat was VERY MATTED. He hadn’t been well cared for. Even though he didn’t like be messed with around his face and head, he was good in other areas, so the shelter made him available for adoption. After 2 months of waiting to be adopted, he had no one interested in him. So Nobody’s Perfekt Dogs pulled him into foster care. We originally thought he might be “hospice” and he was placed in a home to live out the rest of his life. However, the foster family felt he was actually really adoptable, so we transferred him to a foster home from where he could be placed for adoption. Here is what his current foster home says about Phineas:
“Phineas is truly a lovely gentleman. At around 20 pounds he is a lovable, sweet, and sometimes silly boy. He loves to have rubdowns which causes him to roll over in sheer delight. He’s good on a leash and in his foster home he always goes outside to do his business (hopefully he will do the same in yours). He is completely endearing. Phineas is so great with his housemates Lulu (Yorkipoo) and Callie (Chihuahua). He is very respectful of them and will always defer to them when treats and playtime are involved. He is an affectionate boy that just wants to be loved. He is intelligent and usually has only to be shown something once or twice before he gets it. He loves going outdoors for a walk and is almost perfekt! He is the best foster dog I’ve ever had and will no doubt make a great addition to your family”
Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13.
