My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tiki is an opportunity – an opportunity for the person or family who gives her a home to help turn her potential to be a loyal, loving, and well mannered companion into a reality. Tiki has spent her entire life, almost four years, with an older woman who loved her, but could not walk her and gave her no training. Even so, Tiki’s house and yard manners are very good. However, she is in need of training for proper leash walking, for greeting people, and for those times when she is just too excited to calm down and listen for instructions. She would be happy as an only dog and is probably not good with cats. Because of lack of exposure, people, not dogs, are her thing, and she is actually uncomfortable, reactive, and confrontational around dogs – although we believe this can be changed with training. Tiki is 100% Miniature Schnauzer, spayed, about 20 lbs., housetrained, has never had a health problem, and is current on vaccinations and immunizations. All of her medical records are available. She is presently in foster care and impatiently waiting to find her forever home.
