Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing Rudolph, a young mixed breed pup (currently 30-35 pounds) with a beautiful dark brindle coat and absolutely adorable ears! We aren't sure of his age (although we believe he is 7-8 months) as we feel that his growth was stunted due to poor nutrition, consequently, his body will most likely always remain smaller than it should naturally be. He also displays bowed out front legs, a condition that has improved a great deal since he has been in foster care. He was found as a stray, so we really don't know any details about his previous life.
Rudy has typical young puppy energy and behaviors. He runs zoomies around the yard and through the house and loves to play and wrestle with his canine foster siblings (big and small). As much as he loves to interact with other dogs, he craves human attention. He LOVES to cuddle with his humans in a chair or on the couch and will melt into your side with an ear rub. He has loved everyone he has met so far and greets strangers with a wiggling butt and a wagging tail. He is curious about cats, but not in an aggressive way, and he can be verbally redirected away from them.
This boy thrives on positive reinforcement and is working on improving his puppy behaviors (like jumping, mouthing, and chewing on footwear). Since he is still a puppy, he will need patience, training and consistency to become a well-mannered dog. We aren't sure how he would be with children as he can be quite exuberant, but he doesn't seem to be aggressive towards anyone.
Rudy is working hard on becoming house broken and has started to whine at the door to go outside. He is crate trained, vaccinated, de-wormed, heart worm negative, on flea and heart worm preventative, and micro-chipped. He will REQUIRE A PHYSICALLY FENCED YARD. No apartments or condos for this dog please.
Our adoption fee is $250.00 (cash or credit card)
HOW TO MEET: This sweetheart may be at the Livonia PetSmart on Saturdays from 11-3. Come up and meet this cutie and/or other pets. The Livonia PetSmart is located at South East corner of Middlebelt and I-96 at 13150 Middlebelt Rd Livonia, MI 48150. It is located in the back of the Meijer and Costco Parking lot. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT THE ANIMAL YOU ARE INTERESTED IN WILL BE AT THE ADOPTION EVENT. Please email us if there is a specific dog you would like to meet to be sure they will be at the adoption event. We ask that you DO NOT contact PetSmart about our animals. They are kind enough to provide space for our adoption events, but are not involved with our rescue work.
HOW TO APPLY: If you would like to apply for this dog or any of our other dogs, please request an application by clicking the “START YOUR INQUIRY” button.
You can also go directly to our website at www.waganimalrescue.com to fill out an application.
You must be at least 25 years old to apply.
IMPORTANT: An application must be filled out and approved before we will make special arrangements to meet a dog. A volunteer will review your application and contact you if your application is approved or if further clarification is required. We will make every attempt to contact APPROVED applicants within 5 business days of application submission (M-F), but this will depend on the number of applications received. If you do not answer all questions then your application may not be processed. WAG Animal Rescue adopts to homes that are best fits for our animals' needs, and not on a first-come, first-served basis. We are an all-volunteer organization, and regret that we do not have the resources to contact applicants that are not approved. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER. All of our animals are kept in foster homes.
