I’m Snow, an approximately one-year-old, male puppy with the most beautiful light grayish-brown eyes. According to a DNA test, I am a real mix, but most of that mix is Siberian Husky (see my DNA test results in the pictures). I’m a high energy, athletic, adventurous, bold and playful puppy, who is always exploring and sticking my nose into things to figure them out. I love walks, love new things, and just think life is fun! I’m also one of the best snuggly sleepers ever — I love my people with everything I have. I have a big heart.
Because I am pushy and bold, I will need reinforcement from my humans and benevolent dog friends to keep me following the dog rules on sharing toys, people, and spaces with other dogs (I always have followed the rule that the human gets it without any pushback from me!). I’ve learned those lessons on toys, people, and spaces with other dogs and am consistently good at working it out appropriately with the other benevolent dog. When it comes to high-value chews, treats, food-filled kongs, and meals, better to put me separate because those bring out the bratty pushiness in me and can easily make the other dog mad at me (and the other dog is right to be mad at me because she gave me lots of warnings before she lost her patience with my efforts to get her stuff).
l am an eager learner and super smart. I have so much energy that the adult dogs I live with don’t always want to play, so I taught myself to throw the ball down the stairs to play catch with myself, then run back up the stairs and do it again! I am good at keeping myself occupied with toys!
The best family for me is one that will commit to giving me a lot of exercise (hikes, runs, long walks, etc.), training me with basic obedience (I’m a fast learner) and continuing to teach me the social skills I need to be the sweet dog I am and have tons of dog friends like I want. That family will definitely have a calm, confident but not dominant, patient, and benevolent adult female dog willing to look the other way when I get too pushy, but who still wants to play and connect with me. I excel at the husky talk so an apartment is not for me. A backyard would probably be best unless you just happen to be one of those people who walks, hikes, bikes, etc. a lot throughout the day.
If you want to be loved 1000% by a dog that is loyal, smart, athletic and sweet, and are willing to invest your time and energy into teaching me everything I need to know to grow into a mature and balanced high-energy husky mix, then you will be so lucky to adopt me!
