Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mocha is a handsome 7 months old boy of an unknown breed. He is likely mixed but shares many characteristics of Asian Spitz breeds like Jindos and Kai Kens. He has a thick and fluffy double coat that will require lots of brushing. He is very curious and loves to play and explore. Lots of things are still new to him but he is quickly adapting to his foster home.
Mocha has a very affectionate and playful personality. Mocha is very attached to people and he will follow you everywhere like a black shadow. He enjoys being around people and exploring, as well as playing with balls and chewing on hard toys. He has low-medium exercise needs but will need a household that can provide him with sufficient mental stimulation.
While Mocha was initially nervous around the other dogs at his foster home, he warmed up to them quickly. Socialization of Mocha is going well. He is wary of strange dogs but does not exhibit anxiety or hostility towards them. Mocha is scared of loud banging noises like when he encountered a garbage truck that was picking up garbage cans, but he has shown significant improvements in the two weeks he's been at his foster home.
Mocha was found with a traumatic injury to his right front leg, likely from being bitten by a larger dog. The injury was likely sustained shortly before being rescued because the puncture areas were still visible. After being rescued, Mocha had to undergo surgery to remove a small sliver of bone that had broken off. However, his leg still supports his weight and he walks around without difficulty. The vet thinks he will make a full recovery in four weeks once new bone grows back but until that happens, he is forbidden from running and jumping.
Mocha has a lot of love to give and would make a wonderful addition to a family that can provide him with the love, care, and attention he needs during his recovery. He is a sweet and affectionate puppy who will bring joy to any home.
Mocha currently weighs 22.6 lbs and is expected to grow a bit more. He is also currently unneutered and we are recommending waiting at least until after his leg has healed before neutering.
