Meet Dale! He was hit by a car over two plus years ago. The vet said the outcome would’ve been better for him if he was treated asap once he was hit.
Dale injured his spine when he was hit by a car in Costa Rica. He was living on the farm in Costa Rica with lots of other dogs. A few months before coming to the US he lived at home with a vet in order to get laser therapy more frequent, which were continuing here along with acupuncture. Long term we hope he improves with continued physical therapy but it’s not a guaranteed due to how long ago his injury to was.
He gets around great in a wheelchair, that’s how he got the name Dale (Earnhardt). Out of the wheelchair he gets around pretty well. He wears a belly band in the house to prevent accidents and he will use the doggie door. Personality wise he LOVES attention from anyone who will give it to him. He’s a huge snuggler and will follow everyone around the house, just to stay close to them. He does great with kids and is being fostered with 12 other dogs. He deserves a chance at a real place to call home after having such a rough start.
He is 1 of 8 dogs saved from Costa Rica and we hope we can give him a second chance at a great life. He will need a home that can continue with acupuncture and laser therapy. Please fill out an application on our website so a meet/greet and home check can be arranged. His adoption fee is $250.
