Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Getty Lee or as I call him Jack Jack, a 5/6-year-old beautiful boxer boy with an old soul and heart of gold. You will always find Jack Jack cuddling and snuggling up with someone. He is a clingy fella for sure, who thrives with nurturing and lovings. Always needing touch and skin contact. He is a big baby and gets happy with the slightest gestures of love and attention. His favorite pass time is relaxing and chilling with his people and binge-watching Netflix as he spoons. Jack Jack loves treats and is eager to please. He rides well in the car and walks perfectly on a leash. His recall is a working process improving daily. Whoever adopts him will surely be over the moon with his beautiful sweet nature and loving personality. They can be adopted together or separately.
He and his sissy Olivia surrendered to us due to their owner's declining health and unable to continue their care. They, unfortunately, have always lived a sheltered isolated life with elderly owners. Rest easy both babies are in perfect health and have been well cared for. Both have great manners and are very happy dogs who enjoy meeting people, dogs, and cats and have done well with small critters too. Although they lived a solitary life, they are happy loving social butterflies true to their breed. Both have done exceptionally amazingly well with children too! Especially for never being around them ever.
Both are so very sweet and welcoming to every person and animal they have met since in our care, with a happy loving heart. They are puppy energy but to be honest that's every boxer. It's known to be happy-go-lucky clowns. Jack Jack has met many dogs, cats, bird, turtles, indoor rabbits, and our huge chicken rooster duck flock and have done incredibly well with them.
Getty is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto & corona and 1 or 3-year rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative 2 consecutive fecal test, microchipped including free lifetime registration, spay/neutered, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.
Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter.
Previous adopters of AHS have the first choice and are not expected to pay another adoption fee again. Donation of their choice is welcomed.
Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a must.
