Oscar: gray & white tuxedo, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 3/15/22, #17697 Elmo: solid black, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 3/15/22, #17698
Cats: *BONDED PAIR* & okay w/ others Dogs: no Children: adult-only home
BACKGROUND: Oscar and Elmo were found in Lakeside when they were about three months old. They were adopted and loved by a couple, but have unfortunately found themselves in search of a new forever home when their people fell on hard times. Although they are sad about this twist of fate, we have assured them that this means their forever home is still waiting!!!
PERSONALITY: While Oscar and Elmo are more reserved kitties who need time to warm up to new people, they are both very sweet boys who want your companionship and to be near the people they’ve gotten to know and trust. They’ll even accompany you to the bathroom and watch curiously while you do your business. (So forget privacy, lol.) Oscar and Elmo are younger kitties who enjoy a variety of toys and wands, including interesting alternatives like shredding paper and cardboard boxes… all the usual cat stuff. They get the zoomies in the early morning hours! ---Oscar is the braver of the two and will be the first to test something new. He likes to watch life from a kitty “couch”, preferably by a window. His favorite thing to do is bask in the sun and watch the world go by (the birds and the lizards are especially enticing). If you want his attention, though, bring out a treat! This treat-fiend is happy to be bribed, and he’s partial to an ear-scritch if he’s exhausted the treat jar. ---Elmo follows where Oscar leads. He is a big fan of heights and would absolutely love a tall cat tree as his observation post. While Oscar can be bribed with an ear scratch, Elmo is partial to a back scritch, especially near the base of his tail. Elmo might watch you from afar as he gets used to you, but soon he will settle and get into his companionable kitty routine. ---Oscar and Elmo are very much a bonded pair of brothers and MUST be adopted together.
COMPATIBILITY: Oscar and Elmo have been comfortable with other cats in the past though in their current foster home they have their own space. They would like an adult-only home without dogs.
Both these boys have a wonderful and playful side that comes out once they are cozy and comfortable in their new home. It just might take
