Honey has overcome tremendous challenges after a traumatic event left her with a spinal fracture and a front leg injury, resulting in partial paralysis. Despite these setbacks, Honey’s spirit is unwavering—she adores everyone she meets and has a special fondness for her snuffle mat!
Today, Honey is embracing life with enthusiasm, enjoying her custom wheelchair, which enables her to participate in daily rehabilitation sessions. She also delights in wagon rides, where she gets to explore the world around her.
When Honey first came to us, she was unable to sit up without assistance and could only move her head. But with dedicated care and her own fierce determination, she has made remarkable progress, building strength and muscle in other parts of her body. Although she will never regain full use of her other limbs, Honey’s zest for life is truly inspiring. Due to her medical needs, Honey needs to be expressed 4 times daily.
Honey is a joyful girl with a vibrant personality. She’s searching for a family who will see beyond her physical limitations and embrace the boundless love and happiness she has to give.

Additional adoption info
Due to the high volume of applicants, we are only able to move forward with families that are ready to adopt now. If you aren’t ready to adopt now, please apply when you are ready to welcome a dog into your home. After your initial appointment, once the adoption has been approved, we will require the dog to be picked up within one week unless we determine otherwise.
Our hope is that all homes are a forever home, however we understand that circumstances can change, and that sometimes it just isn't the right fit. Whether you discover this three days after the adoption, or three years after the adoption, we will always welcome our dogs back with open arms. Their well-being is our top concern.
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, examined by a vet, dewormed, given flea and tick prevention, groomed
Our adoption fees:

1-7 years old - $800
8+ years old - $500

Palliative* - $50
Special Needs* - $50
Bonded pairs - 30% off the total price
*For Palliative and Special Needs dogs we will discuss on a case by case basis what Dog Tales will cover financially, if applicable
