My story

Our beautiful Lucy Las Vegas has been through a lot in life.



She was adopted a few years ago as a puppy from a rescue (she was originally a stray who was taken to the pound). Her first owner "got tired of her" and gave her away to a new, even less responsible owner. The new owner decided to move in April 2010 and "didn't want to bring her". Poor Lucy was then dumped at the very high-kill Las Vegas shelter. Well, she was a staff favorite and they contacted us to save this precious girl. We did, along with a wonderful rescuer in Las Vegas who drove Lucy to us.



Since she's been with us she has captured our hearts and become a staff and volunteer favorite. At first, she was very shy with big sad eyes. Now, she is affectionate and playful, very sweet and smart! She loves other dogs, loves to give kisses and is absolutely adorable when she play with her toys. She is perfect on the leash and is quickly learning all her commands.



Lucy found a new home with a young man who loved her and who she loved back. Unfortunately, his circumstances changed and Lucy finds herself back at Lange Foundation, having now lost 3 homes. Lucy deserves a real forever home. She's an amazing dog, five years old, healthy, loving, and wonderful.



We are open 7 days a week, 11 am to 5 pm. You are welcome to come by anytime, no appointment necessary. We are located at 2106 S. Sepulveda Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90025.
