My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Freddie boy is such a good young man. He loves to go for walks and wants to be your new best friend. He has lived with both males and females and loves to play.He is a Hound mix with a Celtic legend . Hounds were the traditional guardian angel of roads and crossways and are believed to protect and guide lost souls. He is a darling boy that has grown up at the rescue. He has such a great personality and gets along with everyone 2 legged or 4! He’s 2 years old and 70 lbs of love and laughter! He’s been moved around a bit and adapts well so we know he is ready for his next adventure ~ a home! Adoptions are down but when you adopt from us you allow us to save one more…so adoptions save 2 lives! If you need a new buddy, Freddie is the one!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.

Go meet their pets

We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Weekends are preferred. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email to ask for directions and to make an appt.

More about this shelter

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..
