Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Maxwell, ten months old, 56 pounds of pure playful puppy! He is full of life, love, and play! A young lab collie blend that sadly was dumped along with his live-in fur brother in a rural shelter where they were rescued just in time. Maxwell truly loves everyone; dogs, cats, and people. He doesn’t meet a stranger and doesn’t have any aggression. He is a ten-month-old that never was taught any manners so his foster is working on jumping up and mouthiness. He will require obedience training and a skilled pet owner that can handle a young dog with energy that tends to be on the strong side. He requires plenty of daily exercises and stimulation and it needs to be consistent or like any other young dog, he will chew. His foster mom has him walking 1 to 2 miles twice per day and lots of playtimes with his fur siblings and chew toys. He would do well with a family that has another dog his age or would love a home with his fur brother Owen still available. He would love a forever home with a large fenced-in backyard, a stay-at-home or work-from-home family member that can give him plenty of time and lots of adventures. He would love to walk, hike and spend time. He would do best around older teenagers. Maxwell is treat motivated and smart. He is learning how to live in a house, he picked up the doggie door and has had no accidents, so he is potty and crate trained. Maxwell has been completely medically vetted; neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, heartworm tested negative placed on prevention plus microchipped.
