Jessica was found as a stray and taken to the county shelter back on January 3rd. Home Fur Good regularly goes to county on the hunt for amazing dogs that need help finding a forever home. HFG met Jessica and decided there were others in need of more immediate assistance. Jessica is a five-year-old, petite, 34-pound Pit Bull mix. HFG never forgot her and made sure to follow up on Jessica. When Jessica was still waiting, HFG was able to take her in. Jessica has some healing battle wounds on her muzzle, and all of us just want to magically make it all better for her. She is high-energy and loves to play and be out and about, mixing and mingling. Jessica has won over the staff and volunteers of HFG, so she has begun to win over her roommates by making herself some doggie playgroups. Jessica will do best with a dog-experienced owner who will continue with her training. The adoption fee is $225 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm by appointment.

Home Fur Good has trained adoption counselors to review and question any potential problems/issues with application. We do require an adoption fee which ranges for dogs $150-$300 and for cats $50-$100. All cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked.
If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. If there is a change of ownership we must be kept informed who responsible party is. Fees are non refundable.

More about this rescue
Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.
We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip. Additionally we have a low cost dental clinic each Wednesday. Check our website for more details.
