Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Venus is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH)-mix, female, DOB: 9/25/22
Don’t let the fact that she comes in a small package fool you, Venus has an engaging, larger-than-life personality and so much love she is brimming with enthusiasm to share. With a cuteness-meter off the charts, this fawning young feline will reveal her endearing and delightfully sweet charm to one-and-all in her completely well-intentioned, but mischievous, spirited play and uninhibited invitations for one-on-one time and attention from people.
Cheerful and upbeat, undemanding and easy-to-please, extremely affectionate and pretty happy-go-lucky, mischievous, lively, adventurous, curious, and simply adoring and adorable – Venus above all else is a people cat looking to light up the lives of her new family members when they welcome her into her forever home where she will live the rest of her days as a very much-loved and pampered pet and companion.
Venus, along with littermates, Timber and Haystack: came to Monroe SPCA as orphans needing critical care - all 3 kittens, not able to eat on their own, found outdoors. The three kitten siblings spent their first months with Monroe SPCA in medical foster being treated for URIs, Giardia, Coccidia, and Roundworm.
Now a happy, healthy feline, Venus is looking for her forever home with a family who can give her the time and attention a young cat needs. Although Venus can be adopted individually, we recommend a pairing with several of our other young cats having compatible personalities and temperament.
Venus is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a calm, low-active to moderately active lifestyle and no active young children under the age of six (6). She's comfortable with other compatible cats and kittens, and she’ll be comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs after being given some adjustment time to warm-up and settle into her new surroundings. As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable animals, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption.
Venus currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store. You can meet her by appointment with pre-approved adoption application. To start the adoption process, complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above.
All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption.
Completed applications can be emailed to info@monroespca.org or dropped off at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store located at 293 W. Monroe Street, Dundee, MI.
