My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi gang,

My name is Fetch. I was presumably dumped with 3 other dogs. It's like someone was literally trying to clean house and just got rid of us. How awful!! What kind of lowlife does that to a living being???

When I was first found, I was horrified and scared and didn't want to be around anybody or anything. Can you blame me??

Lo and behold, I was brought to Lucies Project. Let me tell you, word is on the street that these peeps will truly take care of any dog lucky enough to be rescued by them. There's this one special volunteer there that took most of her time just sitting with me and talking to me and showing me that not all people are bad. For weeks this wonderful woman spent time with me in my kennel.

This woman showed me love and gave me treats and one day I decided I could trust her and the others there at the rescue. Do you know they even introduced me to another dog and we became instant pals!!

I love my crate and love to stash toys in there. I truly enjoy playing with my bestie Unity. We have so much fun together!!

Now that I'm no longer afraid, I sure would like to have a family to love and to play with. Please inquire about me, I'm truly adorable!!

*** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. Phone interviews are required for all adoptions****

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters contact our adoption volunteer either via email or phone. Our volunteer in turn talks to them more about the pet they are interested in. If the adopter seems like a good match, they are requested to complete an application. They come to the rescue location to meet the dog of interest. We also sometimes arrange a home visit to make sure the environment is suitable for the dog. If all is well, they will get a call from a volunteer letting them know they are approved for adoption. They will be provided copies of the vaccination and sterilization records. A delivery day will be arranged for the dog. Either the adopter may come and pick up the dog, or a volunteer can arrange to have the dog delivered. They sign our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. We do periodically contact our adopters to check up on the dog to make sure everyone is happy and healthy and enjoying their new life!

More about this rescue

Local Unity for Canines In Emergency Situations. We are a dog rescue organization, not a shelter or a pound!

We are a group of neighbors who, as a community effort, are helping the many strays and dumped dogs in the area. We take them in, care for them, feed - vaccinate - worm - socialize, and try to find them forever homes. We do depend on donations to help out, and will accept food, medication, bedding, fostering, and direct donations to Veterinarians.
