Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sunnie!
Quick Facts:
Breed: German Shepherd X
Age: 8 months old (as of 2/2023)
Weight: Currently around 40#, likely less than 50# as an adult.
Sunnie found himself living in an outdoor pen with another dog, severely underweight and covered in fleas. This sweet boy is slowly learning how to be a dog and why foster mom keeps bringing him squeaky gifts and cookies all the time!
Sunnie is a good boy, but will need daily exercise to meet his physical needs, because.. well, Shepherd. But he is happy to snuggle with you on the couch afterwards! He is working on his indoor manners, and his four-legged foster brother has been showing him how to play tug and fetch - he is LOVING having a whole backyard to run and play in! He is always up for a rowdy play session + long walks.
Though Sunnie enjoys other dog's compnay, he does not love other dogs in his space while he is eating or drinking, so would not be a fit for dog park/group play environments at this time.
He does pull a little on the leash when he gets excited, and will need continued training to help him be the bestest boy while out and about. He has never met a cat, so we're not sure how he'd do, though he loves all the humans after he warms up to them - including the 5 year old and the 9 month old in his foster home - he is very gentle when giving the baby kisses!
Sunnie is working on his house training, and doesn't love the crate and will make sure you hear his displeasure. True to his breed, he can be mouthy when he feels like he's not getting enough attention, or when he needs to go outside. He is working on basic indoor manners, and will need reminders not to jump on his new guests to say hiiiiiii!
