You want a winner? Pick Rex, this guy is the best. His personality is even tempered and laid back, calm. He is the right amount of balance in every way. He is cuddly, gives very soft kisses to you when he wants to go out to potty unless you are in the room where the backdoor is then he will head over and stand there to be let. Rex is independent and loves to play with his toys and can play by himself for a long time and be perfectly content. He also plays fetch.
He does hang around you but not in the manner that he is under foot all the time. He is happy to lay in his bed and watch you unless you are in the kitchen cooking then he is right there waiting for you to drop something or give him a human treat! This guy is obedient and well mannered and kind of funny. Even though he is neutered, he still humps his bed and then lays in it!!!! He makes me laugh every day.
Rex is a young 9 year old, loves to go on walks too, he is nosey. And he just lost his hearing, he is deaf. But that is not a disability for him since there has been no change in him. He follows your instructions but he is so low maintenance that there is not much you have to do with him except love him, give him head scratches and feed him.
Rex came to me with an extremely bad ear infection that was not seen by a vet for months and that lead to him losing his hearing. All of that has been cleared up with no chance of him getting another ear infection as long as his ears are cleaned when he is groomed. His hair grows slowly so grooming would not be that often.
Mr. Rex is a chunky 33 lbs and he really does not eat a lot. All of his medical is up to date with vaccinations, rabies, negative heartworm test, he is fixed and microchipped. His medical records will come with him at the time of adoption along with his favorite toys.
You cannot go wrong by making Rex a part of your family because he is so easygoing and adapts to whatever is going on.
Let me know if you would like a meet and greet.
