Hi there! I’m NOELLE, (DOB ~10/6/2017), a brown tabby female Maine Coon mix. I was found as a stray and turned over to a local animal control facility. That facility posted my picture, along with my siblings, on their Facebook page – and when Fancy Feline Rescue of the South saw that I was a “special needs kitten” (I just say I’m “special”! I was born with abnormally small eyes – known as “microphthalmia”), they took me and my siblings under their wings. I am now ready to find my special home – one where there isn’t a lot of change on a daily basis, quiet, and probably without younger children. While I do have limited eyesight, my other senses kick in and allow me to act normal. There are many, perfectly content pet cats with this abnormality – and it will cause me no problem as long as I am in a pet safe environment. I don’t have a hard time finding my food or my litter box, or playing with my siblings. I use sensory substitution; and this means I use sensory information from other parts of my brain to make up for my visual deficit. It is possible that I will have more brain development in the auditory processing areas, and I do have heightened auditory spatial abilities. Basically, I’m an almost normal kitten! You don’t need to feel sorry for me. I am happy, healthy, and EXTRA cute! Please don’t write me off due to my facial abnormality, and keep in mind that because my sibling RUDY depends on my help, we must be adopted as a pair. I am neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, negative for Feline FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and will be microchipped and eligible to receive a 30-day free trial of pet health insurance. My adoption fee is $125.00
