My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am ZACK (DOB ~09/14/2012), a male Brown Marble Tabby Maine Coon. My former owner died after a sudden illness and the family didn’t want to care for me and my three partners. Apparently, the family member who decided to place us with rescue didn’t know much about me. When he surrendered us, he gave my name as ZOË. Doesn’t that tell you a lot about how involved the family was with us? When I was taken in for vetting after arriving at FFRS, it was discovered that I am a male, so I went from ZOË to ZACK! And, the family member apparently did not realize that I’m also front-paw declawed. I am a big, hefty fellow (like Maine Coons should be!), get along well with others (not sure about how I’d react to dogs, though), and am a sweet gentlemen, asking for pets and rubs on occasion, as long as the pets and rubs aren’t on the lower part of my back near my tail. I'm currenty sporting a Lion Cut, but when my coat grows back, you won't believe how stunning I am with my long, flowing coat. I am neutered, up-to-date with vaccines, negative for Feline FIV/FeLV, dewormed, have received flea preventative, and will be microchipped and eligible to receive a 30-day free trial of pet health insurance at the time of adoption. My adoption fee is $125.00
