Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Henrick!
Henrick is an estimated 2 year old German Shepherd who was dumped at a local veterinary hospital, presented for limping. Upon further examination, it was found that Henrick had an infected wound; xrays showed that Henrick was actually shot! His bones were shattered and an amputation was required to end his pain and suffering. Henrick was also very underweight and fearful of new people. Despite all of this, Henrick learned to love, trust, and be a dog. His foster mom says like any Shepherd, he's all bark and no bite. He has met and made friends with many new people, but unfortunately, is not trusting of other animals. This has caused so many potential adopters to pass on Henrick, but we know there is a family out there who has room for Henrick to be an only pet. He has learned a ton of commands, so ongoing training may allow him to live peacefully with another pet in the future. Even with three legs, Henrick runs and fetches like the best of them. His foster mom tells us that he's the biggest goofball and he may challenge you at times, but he deserves the world!
If you've been thinking of adopting, please consider Henrick!
