Trixie was an owner surrender.
She was intact. We got her to the vet for immediate intake and then, straight to the surgeon for her spay.
She was already infected with pyometra.
Good thing we got her when we did.
She's recovered now and a happy yappy little girl.
She has high crate anxiety. Her forever home should plan to NOT crate her and instead seek alternative methods of confinement. (baby gates, etc.)
She is a 'velcro dog' preferring to stick close to her person.
