My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Snowberry
DOB/Sex: July 2022/F - will be spayed by rescue
Breed: German Shepherd Dog
Known Health Issues: None at this time.
Good With: Kids! Dogs! Maybe Cats (VERY engaged with play)

Wowee, this firecracker is ready to go, and super excited for her future! If you're looking for a livewire, this is your girl!

Snowberry has passed through a few hands, and is looking to land in a true for forever home, that understands, and is committed to an active German Shepherd puppy! She's smart, very active, athletic, and oh yes, she barks!

When Snowberry first arrived she was reactive and fearful of just about everything. She's come a long way, and though she will always have a softer personality, she's gained a lot of confidence, and enjoys exploring and experiencing new things. She's a bit of a free spirit, but throws herself at you for snuggles when the mood strikes her. Everything she does, she does at 100%! Life is worth living!

Snowberry is a high (borderline crazy) energy girl, and is definitely a handful if she isn't provided with physical, and mentality engaging activities. She is smart, determined, and brazen. She lacks focus, but that will come with time, and training. As with her breed, she will likely be successful at many canine sports, and definitely needs a home that will engage her in various activities.

Snowberry is working hard at learning life skills, and is making good progress. She is looking forward to continuing her training with her forever family, so that she can be her best self. She's good in her crate, although has been known to move it across the room, lol! And the occasional bed explodes. She's learning about "down time", but she much rathers "on time"! She LOVES to go for hikes, and usually can be found trying to open the front door in anticipation (yes, she CAN open doors, the deadbolt is a necessity!). She's definitely an outdoors lover, and out-hikes me no problem!

Snowberry currently is very dog social, but is very much a bull in a china shop, and plays hard. She would not be a good match for a senior, or quiet dog that did not appreciate her rambunctious ways. Similarly I am hesitant to place her with cats, as she will likely want to play with them excessively, and most homes are not committed to the level of training needed to ensure peaceful cohabitation. It's not a no, but the training commitment needs to be there to be successful.

Snowberry has lived with children, and done well, and is opening up to meeting more people. She is pushy, and bratty, and not gentle. Matching her to the right family is important, if you allow her to be overbearing, she will be. Boundaries, and firm, but fair guidance are imperative for success.

Snowberry is fun-loving, full of joy, and going to keep you on your toes. If you're ready for the challenge, and 100% ready to commit, then she's excited to hear from you! Let's get this awesome puppy her forever home!
