A SWAT Team Rescue!
Barry has had enough drama to last him a lifetime!
We can only imagine how terrified he must have been as he sat cowering in the garage while his owners traded gun fire with the police! After all, this big boy might look rough and tough, but he’s a total mush-bucket—and an 80-pound lap dog!
With the terrifying ordeal finally over (and his owners on their way to jail), Barry was overjoyed to see the police, who freed him from his own dark, lonely prison. We’re not sure how long Barry had been in that garage, but his actions tell two very different stories: a sweet, affectionate dog who only wants to be loved (he must have been treated with kindness), but who cowers and sinks to the ground if you lift you hand above your head (he must certainly have been hit).
With all the drama finally behind him, Barry wants only to snuggle up next to (or on top of) his fosters and have his tummy rubbed! After everything he’s been through, Barry is more than willing to give humans another chance, and wants desperately to meet that special someone who will make him believe that everything will be all right.

-Being treated for sores on his paws (Barry chewed and licked his paws raw, probably from stress, loneliness and fear). He is healing well and will recover fully!
-A total snuggle bunny, wants only to be loved and cuddled!
-Loves absolutely everyone, seems very sweet with cats (also seems to like dogs, will do the official “dog test” when he’s healed from his neutering)
-Crate-trained and well-mannered
-Very strong, but walks well on a leash
