Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mali is located in Fayetteville. We can assist in transport within either of the Carolinas, possibly farther.
the cliff notes...
Mali loves other dogs and children, but needs someone who is aware she needs fed separately as she is not food friendly. No cats, she thinks they are toys 😳
all about Mali...
Mali is a super sweet girl with a very playful energy. She loves to play with other dogs of all sizes. She also loves to run around and play with children. She loves to cuddle as well as recieve all the pets and treats. Mali also enjoys sunbathing outside in the sun or somewhere in the house in front of a window that gets a lot of sunlight. Mali loves to make new dog friends, but introduce her to other dogs in an outdoor open space off leash. Closed spaces make her nervous but she does well when she has the space to get to know the other dogs. Mali has to be fed separately if you have other dogs as she is not food friendly.
Mali has progressed a lot since getting here. She has learned the commands 'sit', 'leave it', 'take it' and 'kennel'. The commands 'leave it' and 'take it' are only used at feeding time. She must first 'sit' then I will put her food down and she must 'leave it' there until instructed to 'take it'. She is also very nervous of vehicles but has been getting more used to the idea the more we go on car rides.
Mali needs more training when it comes to the commands 'stay' and 'lay down' and she is also still in the process of learning 'off'. I have been using 'off' to teach her not to jump on people/children as she can get so excited and will jump up for attention. Mali means no harm she just wants to share her love with everyone. I also use the command 'off' to instruct her off the bed or couch if needed. Mali will get in to the trash if it is available to her. I have been working with her to curve this but that's the one thing she needs the most improvement on. She is extremely treat motivated so if you have treats to give her during training sessions you will find she is a very fast learner.
Mali is great at making new furiends and loves children. She really loves everyone. Mali is fully kennel trained and potty trained. If you need to leave the house always be sure to kennel Mali. She enjoys relaxing on the bed, dog bed, or couch during more relaxed times while chewing on an antler bone or rib bone. She really enjoys being outside playing in the yard with other dogs or people. She is a professional toy destuffer so the harder toys are preferred for her. She is great off leash and listens really well. She loves to help take the trash out to the trash bins on trash pick-up day. She also does pretty well on leash and loves to go on hikes. Mali loves to jump and roll around on the trampoline. She really is just a fun, outgoing, loving girl.
Mali and The Paw Project have been INCREDIBLY lucky to have found an emergency (life saving) foster who has cared for her the last month or two. This wonderful foster is getting ready to move so we need to get Mali into a new foster home, or, a potential adopter's home!!
Message us to learn more about Mali and apply to foster/adopt her on our website! (www.thepawprojectrescue.com)
