Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Thurgood is IN. THE. HOUUUUUSE!
Quick Facts:
Breed: No facts here. Maybe some Hound. Probably some Pittie. Throw in a Shepherd for good measure.
Estimated Birthday: 11/1/2022
Weight: 45lb
My name is Thurgood and I’m a 1-year-old male and weigh 45lbs. I don’t exactly remember all the details pertaining to my previous life; however, I do know I was recently picked up from a local shelter and taken to my current foster home. I’m house trained, crate trained, and am working on my leash skills. My foster mother says I’m extremely affectionate, although it can take me just a little extra time to warm up to everyone. I do well with cats and can get along with other dogs but would prefer to be the only dog in the home. I’m known for playing hard and crashing afterwards. My favorite activity is chewing, so anytime I get stressed, my foster mom gives me my chew toy, and I’m happy. With just a little time and direction, I’d be your best companion!
Thurgood was dropped at the shelter with 4 of his siblings and one by one, they were adopted, leaving only Thurgood and his brother, Tatum, the last of the unwanted - but not for long. Lucky for these two, our foster families were ready for some puppy-loving and gladly took in these boys.
This boy may be part kangaroo, hopping over the back of the couch without a running start. He plays with toys in his basket then crashes for a good ol' dog nap. Thurgood is working diligently on being the bestest boi he can be, but will need a family who will continue with his obedience training.
Before emailing- please read:
- Yes, this dog is available for adoption
- The adoption fee for Thurgood is $265
- Apply at c2cnd.org
- The adoption fee covers appropriate shots, microchipping, heartworm testing (if old enough), deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care.
- Our application process includes: a virtual home visit, veterinary record check (please call vet to release current/previous pet records), and a rent check (to make sure pets/breeds are welcomed). Please allow 5-7 business days to finalize the application process.
- Local adopters only. Due to us finalizing adoptions at adopter's home, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area.
- If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!
