My story

Imagine that a dog’s sweet disposition and playful heart could get him killed. That’s the story of our gentle giant, Paolo (aka Batman). This gorgeous coonhound was hours shy of losing his life at the hands of his former owner in Alabama because he simply wasn’t a good hunter. Thankfully, through our network of volunteer transporters, we saved Paolo from an environment of cruelty and abandonment, giving this sweet boy a new lifeline. But Paolo has yet to find his forever home, and we really don’t know why it’s taken so long. He’s loving, playful, good with other dogs and children, and he’s a professional hugger! Yes, you read that correctly - he gives the BEST hugs. If you have room in your home and in your heart to give Paolo the chance he deserves, contact us.
