My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sherlock, the feline detective, appeared mysteriously at our President’s residence, spying on her other fur babies through the sliding glass door like the playful, curious critter he is! Now, he's scavenging for a case of his own - a new forever home.

Sherlock has finally embraced the sweet, sweet life he deserves – complete with a full inspection of his gadgets by the vet! He’s been neutered, vaccinated, tested for FELV/FIV (negative, phew!), and even microchipped (just in case he goes undercover).

This frisky fellow has rubbed whiskers with other cats but is yet to sniff out his compatibility with dogs. Always one to stay on his paws, our energetic investigator may not be the best partner in crime for small humans.

More about this rescue

Ruff Patches empowers Los Angeles area pet owners to keep their pets and help stem the flow of animals entering the City and County shelter systems and nonprofit rescue organizations.

Many issues could be remedied if pet owners had access to relevant information before obtaining their pet, access to additional education about pet care and to resources such as low cost spay/neuter, behaviorists, etc. Ruff Patches will connect pet owners considering relinquishment of their pet to the resources they need to address their individual situation, with the goal of keeping the pet in its original home or, if necessary, finding a new appropriate placement.
