Darcie is an American Bulldog/Boxer Mix. She is White and Brown. Darcie is 2 Years Old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She weighs around 59 lbs.
Darcie is a adorable spunky young girl! She was turned in with her family of three purebred boxers to a high kill pound. All of her family got adopted, and since Darcie is a mix was left behind. Darice is such a good and sweet girl who just can't seem to find a forever home for herself! She loves to spend time with anyone who will give her the time of day. She loves running around the yard while she plays tag with you. Darcie just seems to love everything about life, she's loving her foster home but knows that her forever home is out there somewhere. Darice does know how to "Sit" and she is made to sit for her dinner, leash, etc. When she's outside playing with you and she wants your attention she'll sit in the middle of the yard to "woo" and likes for everyone to hear her boxer talk. She'll play with any dog no matter the size and just had a playdate with a 10 lb toy poodle who she couldn't stop kissing. Darcie has so much love to give and she just wants to find that perfect home that will love her for just being her!
Darcie would do well in any household. She loves adults, kids and other dogs. We would love for Darcie to have a fenced in yard to run and play and hop around. She does well on the leash but we recommend a harness when she's going for walks because she likes to get going quickly. We also think that Darcie would be best in a home where she is the only dog, Darcie loves other dogs but she plays rough and most dogs don't like her playing that way. If Darcie does go to a home with another dog it would be best if they are very submissive or just love to play just as rough as Darcie does. Darcie is completely housetrained and crate trained. She does excellent riding in the car and doesn't make a peep the entire time. If Darcie's new owners don't like jumping they would have to train her out of it, since Darcie wants to jump up and give you kisses. Darcie also has been in a home with a cat where she did fine with them, but she did want to play with them so a dog friendly kitty would be a must! Darcie really is a sweet girl and it's about time she finds a forever home!
Darcie is not aggressive with other dogs, she has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors.
There is a $100 Adoption Fee for all dogs. Which includes the Spay/Neuter, Parvo/Distemper Combo Shot, Rabies Shot, Worming, Heartworm Tested Negative if over 6 months and Flea/Tick Prevention.
