Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Ruby Sue. My sisters and I are ASF’s Christmas Vacation litter. My mommy is an Australian shepherd but I’m not really sure who my daddy is. The people that gave us to ASF said he was a German shepherd, but we don’t know for sure. I am about 5 months old and weigh about 25 pounds.
I really love playing with my foster dog siblings, and I love my foster mom, but I really, really want a family to call my own. I have so much love to give. And I am just a happy, happy girl. My foster mom says my tail never stops wagging (except when I’m asleep). One of my favorite things to do is give puppy kisses. I love to lay in her lap and get scratches and my ears rubbed. I think she calls it cuddling. Whatever you call it, I like it… alot.
Another thing I like to do is to play with my soft raccoon toy that makes a squeaky noise. I will squeak it and squeak it, and play tug-o-war if I can get one of the other dogs to play. I will chase a ball and bring it back but I’m not really sure why my foster mom wants me to give it back to her… finders, keepers and all that. Sometimes I do full on zoomies all around the house or out in the yard. Foster mom laughs because I tuck my tail and run as fast as I can until I wear myself out. My foster mom has a cat and although I’m curious about her, I’d much rather play with her dogs.
I sleep quietly in my kennel at night and I always go outside to go potty. Foster mom says I’m a really good girl when I do that. I do like to find slippers and other shoes that have been left within my reach (so please keep them picked up) and when I get excited, I like to jump up and try to get more attention. Foster mom has been teaching me that I really shouldn’t do that (that’s bad manners). I’m trying to remember, but my new family will have to keep reminding me, and be patient with me, so I will learn to be my bestest girl.
There is one thing that I really don’t like, and that’s car rides. They make me nervous and upset my tummy. Foster mom thinks I might grow out of it if my new family will take me on short rides and show me that they can be fun. My tummy didn’t get as upset the last time I went for a ride.
I have had all of my age-appropriate shots and my foster mom gives me a chew so I don’t get those nasty fleas, ticks, and heartworms. There is an additional $50 spay deposit that will be refunded with proof of the procedure. All adoption fees are used to help other dogs and puppies like me and my mom and littermates.
I am being fostered in Jackson, Ohio.
If you have a place in your heart and home for me and will let me grow old with you, please fill out an application at AustralianShepherdsFurever.org/adoption-application.
