Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet "Bruno"! He is a happy, playful pup who is approximately 7 months old and 35lbs. Bruno was found stray in South Texas and came to Michigan to find a home and a better life. He is currently in a foster home in Royal Oak. Although we do not know is breed make-up for sure, his appearance would indicate maybe an Aussie Shepherd/Shepherd mix or perhaps Border Collie/Shepherd mix.
Bruno is people and dog friendly and we suspect he would do fine with a kitty friend or two. He is an easy going guy, who is a little shy at first, but warms up fast, especially if there are treats around! Bruno is crate trained and has had no accidents in his foster home. His foster mom is work from home so he does get to go outdoors every3-4 hours. A similar setting, at least until he adjusts would be ideal. Bruno is smart, loyal and very affectionate. He loves his walks and stuffy toys (although many don't last long :/) Bruno's foster mom discovered that his left elbow is a little thicker than his left. He had some xrays that showed some sort of unknown previous trauma that healed on his own. It causes him no pain or mobility issues. We would be happy to provide video of him zooming around his yard! Anyone moving forward with his adoption is welcome to a free consult with our orthopedic vet.
Bruno would love a an active home where he could get lots of exercise and playtime. A companion dog would be great, but is not necessary. He needs a physically fenced in yard and kids 5 and up are preferred.
Could Bruno be a match for you? If so, please send an inquiry through AdoptAPet or email us at compassdogrescue@gmail.com for info on the adoption process. Bruno is fully vaccinated, will be neutered by the rescue (early Feb) and is microchipped.
