Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Archie and Reba are a sweet pair of Amazons who are very closely bonded. Don't let their baby faces fool you. These guys are both over 30 years old! A refined and playful pair, these two are well matched and would provide tons of entertainment for their future home. While not super cuddly, these guys have an endearingly shy personality and would do well in either a quiet home or an active household where they can observe their family's various activities. While Reba watches from a safe distance, Archie enjoys exploring his environment and foraging for as many snacks as he can find. Sometimes, when Archie is feeling extra brave, he will crawl outside his cage and call out for his foster mom to bring him treats. Amazons make great birds for those who are searching for companions who can entertain themselves and aren't the stereotypical "Velcro" bird (the word "cockatoo" comes to mind here). Archie and Reba provide a gentle presence to any household and would be more than happy to sit and watch the world go by from the safety of their play areas. Even though Amazons can live up to 60 years, Archie and Reba are still considered "senior" birds and thus their future home will need to have an avian vet in mind before they submit an application. Already, Miss Reba is experiencing some mild health issues with a heart murmur that will just need to be monitored closely for signs of progression. However, both of these guys have made great progress already by switching to a healthy diet and even losing some much-needed weight while in foster care! Adoption fee: $450 for both birds together.
