PLEASE scroll down and read the ENTIRE BIO. It is lengthy but has ALL INFO we know. Emailing and asking for more info is only going to hold up your process and risk your chances of the dog you want being gone. FRED is in SALEM, Ohio. HE is fully vetted including neuter/microchip/rabies/Bordetella/parvo distemper vaccine/worming/heartworm lyme test/heartworm-flea prevent while at the shelter. We do not ship dogs, we do not transport dogs, we do not hold dogs. You must be ready to adopt within 72 hours upon approval.
FULLY VETTED ADOPTION FEE is: $200
** PLEASE NOTE: Since we are a shelter, the majority of our dogs have not had the luxury of a foster home. As a result, what we post in reference to their behavior, temperament, likes/dislikes etc is only what we witness here and not in a home atmosphere. ALSO, the breed mix posted is simply a GUESS on our part, we DO NOT do DNA testing.

Howdy y'all!! Fred here, thanks for dropping by to check me out. A bit about my past.....no one seems to know anything!! I was picked up as a "stray" by someone that held onto me for 6 weeks then decided to take me to the dog pound (who reached out to another shelter to come get me). Yup, you read that correctly, you may be asking yourself WHAT THE HECK?? How does a sweet, playful, dog/ people lovin (not to mention handsome) guy like me end up homeless??? Well, whatever the reason I have 100% confidence that these folks here at the shelter are hellbent on NEVER letting that happen to me again. They have assured me that they will diligently process all applications to the fullest in order to find the PERFECT fit for me!! As you can see in my pictures, I adore playing with other dogs (oh and kids are good too). You may have also noticed that true to my hound heritage, I love working my nose while out on walks. I would love a home that understands us hounds. That means you must see beyond my good looks and charming personality and read up on hound traits and personalities if you have never had the good fortune of owning one in the past. Since I am still just a young lad you will have to have patience and provide consistency with my potty training. I LOVE to cuddle with you humans so an abundant amount of attention would be necessary as well!!
