You better act zippy to adopt Tippy!

Introducing: Tippy! One of our very gorgeous girls, looking for her forever home! Tippy came to us as a very tiny kitten, with her brother, Rin. Both of these cats were born outside and were rescued by one of our rescue partners. Tippy and Rin are not bonded and do not need to be adopted together, but they absolutely can be.

Our Tippy girl, is ready to find her forever home! Tippy is a little more skittish than her brother but she can be bribed with food! Tippy will need a patient owner; our girl is still a bit shy, BUT SHE IS SO SWEET! Tippy was is in a foster home with other cats and dogs, and she LOVED them! Tippy's ideal forever home will have other animals in it. Overall, Tippy is such an awesome girl. She loves to play, sleep and do all of the cat things!

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters over 21 years of age must first fill out an application for adoption. It takes at least 7-10 business days for application to be processed. Vet checks are done as well as references, and home checks.
Our Cat adoption fees are:
$215for Kittens (6wks-6Months)
$170 for Adults (7Months - 7yrs)
$95 for Senior/Special Needs

Our Dog adoption fees are:
$395 for Puppies (8wks-15Months)
$295 for Adults (16Months-10yrs)
$125 for Senior/Special Needs

All donations may be dropped off in the Front Lobby Daily between the hours of 9am-5pm.

We believe it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless cats and dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes.

We provide spay and neuter services and any and all necessary medical care for pets.

We work diligently to educate the public on the importance of pet sterilization, responsible pet ownership, Disease control, as well as the Humane Treatment of Animals.

The Meriden Humane Society is a Private, No Kill, non Profit Animal Shelter and Rescue Facility.We are not affiliated with any other Humane Society or rescue organization. We do NOT receive any funding the state, but in fact are funded by the generous people who believe that "Life Matters".
