Meet Gentle Spirit, the almost-perfect unicorn dog, who is on a heartfelt quest to find her forever home! This five-year-old beauty embodies sweetness and love, and she has just one unfulfilled wish: to share her life with a true companion.

Gentle Spirit is a loving soul who thrives on connection and companionship. While she can be a bit choosy with her dog friends, she has a playful side that shines through once she feels comfortable. With the right introductions, she can blossom alongside another calm and friendly dog who enjoys a little playtime.

Having overcome her past challenges, including heartworm treatment, Gentle Spirit is now a healthy 75 pounds and ready to embrace her new life. She walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides, especially when they lead to tasty treats at Starbucks or Bruster's!

This docile and quiet girl is a true velcro companion, preferring to be near her people and making an excellent home office buddy. She's house-trained and loves to sleep peacefully in the bedroom with her foster family. Though she might take a moment to warm up to new faces, treats are the key to winning her heart!

Gentle Spirit has a gentle respect for cats and enjoys chasing birds and squirrels in the backyard, making a fenced yard ideal for her adventures. While she may not have been around young children, she has shown her gentle nature with older kids and has been fabulous with her foster mom's three-year-old niece.

Their adoption process

Submit Application

Submit an adoption application at www.angelsrescue.org/adopt and a member of our Adoption Team will contact you for an interview.

2.
Meet the Pet

Our pets are located in foster homes. Once your application is approved, you will be connected with the foster family.

3.
Home Check

The foster family will do a brief home visit to ensure that it's a perfect match between family & pet!

4.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees range from $50 - $150 for cats and $150 - $300 for dogs. Specials and discounts may apply.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our team is available for support and referrals post adoption if you need it!

We ask that all pets and family members meet your potential new pet so that everyone can be sure they are the right fit!

Puppies and kittens under 4 months may only be adopted locally. Fully vetted and altered pets may be adopted out of state.
