SECURE FENCED YARD REQUIRED
Hi! I am Smokey, a young female Blue Merle purebred Sheltie. I may not look like a Sheltie from the rear because I have only a stub for a tail. See, my life started out under some very undesirable circumstances. Shortly after I was born, my stressed mother chewed off my tail and three of my toes on my back right foot. Additionally, I had a hiatal hernia. A good Samaritan saved me from that life and released me to the kind folks at KC Sheltie Rescue.
I don't have a care in the world now and am a happy go lucky gal. Toys and cuddles with my foster Mom are my favorite things. I get along with the dogs at my foster home, am almost housetrained, crate trained and know my sit and come commands. Not to brag, but I am pretty smart, too. I learned to walk the steps in my foster home on the very first day.
At 26 lbs., I am a larger Sheltie gal. I should be about done growing but may fill out a little more. I do enjoy the sound of my voice, so my foster Mom is trying to teach me to curtail my barking - sometimes I listen to her! I sleep quietly in my crate overnight.
I am spayed, had hernia surgery, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and ready for my new home.
I hope my new home has lots of toys and someone to snuggle with.
