This lovely little flower, Daysi, is 1.5 yrs old and around 20 pounds. She was adopted out as a puppy to a wonderful home, but sadly the person she was with became unable to continue caring for her. She’s understandably a bit timid right now and cautious with new people, but we know the right home will allow her to fully blossom again.
She is such a good girl. She’s house trained (uses a dog door), enjoys her walks, does well in the car, and even finds her crate comforting. She’s settled right into foster with 3 other dogs around her size. She would pair up wonderfully in a home with another dog to play with and learn from. She met a cat and didn’t display any concerning behaviors. Kids are an unknown, but she might be ok with calm, gentle, small dog savvy older children who can give her space to gain trust in them.
Daisy’s fit is going to be with a family who has the patience to let her bond with them at her own pace. And, who has plenty of lap time available for her to enjoy that is balanced out with daily mental and physical activity. She’s not overly barky, but does know how to use her voice, so not the best candidate for an apartment living situation. A fenced in yard is on the list.
In the right situation and with the right person/family this young lady is going to be a dream companion. Could that be you?
Daysi is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Her adoption fee is $425. She is being fostered SE Portland.
