Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Princess, a precious 14-year-old, 48 lb. border collie/basset hound mix. She came to Connecticut from Florida after she was found as a stray. At the time she was microchipped and her owner and emergency contact were called but no one came to reclaim her. Now this senior gal is ready to enjoy her golden years and begin her next chapter of life!
Princess is a calm, affectionate, and lovely little lady. She is friendly with all that she meets, including other dogs, cats, and children of all ages. She’ll greet anyone who comes over with a wagging tail and enjoys being with her people. Princess loves pets, ear scratches, and taking long naps in her cozy bed. She is a quiet and gentle girl who yearns for affection and treats.
She is such a good pup – Princess walks great on leash and is housetrained and will ask to go out when she needs to go. She has a hard time using stairs so a single floor home would be ideal. Being a senior, she has arthritis and some skin issues but both are managed with medication. Princess also recently had dental and senior bloodwork done and everything came back great.
Princess is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $375, however she qualifies for our senior-to-senior program so if you’re 60 years or older, you can adopt her for $275.
