MAX - ADOPTED!
After purchasing Max from a breeder, his family realized an energetic Akita puppy with needle sharp puppy teeth was not appropriate for their young daughter nor their experience level. The breeder's advice on how to manage this puppy behavior was to "Hit him on the nose". Needless to say Max's family sought out other options instead of returning Max to his breeder.
Here is what our foster home says about Max:
“Would you like to meet the cutest sweetest happiest little guy? He is four months old and is so smart. He knows how to sit, shake and lay down. He also comes when you call him! He loves to take showers and get nice and clean, so he’s all ready for his belly rubs. He loves his big foster sister, and they play all day long very gently. He is crate trained and we are working on potty training and he’s doing very well. He always goes poopy outside and let’s you know...so he’s got that down! He’s such a wonderful little guy. If we didn’t already have a big giant Akita, he would be our guy for sure. He will add joy to your family, and he’s the best companion. He’s very social and loves to meet and greet the neighbors with kisses and wags. Max is the best Puppy ever!”
**AKITA EXPERIENCED HOME REQUIRED FOR MAX. Max's new family will have to be home most of the time, i.e., work from home or have flexible hours. He cannot be left at home alone for long hours, as he will need continued socialization, training and enrichment with his people. He will require a committed and dedicated family to raise him.
