My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Roxy!! I am a super sweet, 6 year old, petite, blue, spayed, female Weimaraner. I am up to date on vaccines, Heartworm negative and on Heartworm prevention. I love to snuggle and to get as close as I can to my foster mom or dad, even putting my head on their shoulder to get in closer. My foster mom says my fur feels like a puppy’s fur, because it is so soft. I am potty trained and know how to signal to go out by ringing a bell on the backdoor. I love going for daily walks on a long leash, where I sniff everything in the neighborhood. I wear a harness and walk very nicely on it, without pulling my foster mom down the street. I am a great walking companion!! I also like to go for car rides. I sit nicely and quietly in the back seat looking out the window. I know sit and have been working on some new tricks lately such as down, wait, and leave it. I am getting pretty good at those but will need someone to continue this work with me, using positive reinforcement, in order for me to become really proficient. I love chewing on bones, peanut better stuffed kongs and other toys. During the day I like to go outside to run around in the backyard and chase squirrels. I also like to watch squirrels in the backyard through the window. I can stand and stare at them for a long time, very quiet and focused. My ideal forever home would be where I am the only dog and without young children. If you make me part of your family, I will give you loads of love, by very loyal and follow you everywhere.
