Additional info:
Kershaw is an energetic dog in need of an adult-only home (no kids) with a person
who has some dog experience and who can give him the proper exercise he needs. This boy can do a three-mile walk/run easily and is a very playful guy, but he can become a bit mouthy when playing. Once Kershaw bonds with his person (or people), he is very eager to please and VERY smart, so he needs someone who can always be one step ahead of him. Kershaw is house trained and will jump on you or pace to let you know if he needs to go to the bathroom. He is also crate trained and will "go to bed" on command and is very treat motivated. He can also sit and shake paws. When you're feeling down after a rough day Kershaw is eager to gently nuzzle your hand and comfort you.
Kershaw prefers people to other dogs, so if you have another dog in your home, it may take a little time for him to adjust. Kershaw takes naps during the day and enjoys playing with squeaky and crinkly toys. He is a total love bug and likes to curl up in a little ball to nap near you when you're home. He just needs some time to build trust and warm up to a person (same here Kershaw!) but once he does, he’s a snuggly guy…you just gotta be patient.
We have learned that Kershaw can be unpredictable around kids, so he needs a home with no kids please.
The vets have noticed a slight heart murmur on him, but it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He’s as ready as ever for a forever home!
