My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We would love for you to meet Peanut! Peanut is a 2 year old terrier mix. Peanut is a friendly and playful guy who really loves his treats! He appears to know his basic commands as well. Peanut is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations so all he needs is a loving family.

More about this shelter

The Humane Society is a non-profit organization serving the human and animal population of of Stark County for over 100 years. Besides providing a safe haven for the unwanted dogs and cats in our community, we find new and loving homes for them as well. We also conduct humane education programs in all our schools K-12. We take our pets to area nursing homes to visit the elderly. Sometimes this is the only time some of the residnets get a visit. Over the years we have been named Employer of the Year by Goodwill Industries for hiring the physical and mentally challenged. We perform these tasks with no governmental funding whatsoever. We raise our budget throught Bequests, fundraisers, membership and donations.
