Hello! I am Shelby, a 3-year-old female pittie. I am friends with pretty much everyone including the foster cat and other foster dogs. I love playing with blankets and will pull them all through the house. I love to do zoomies on the beds and couches, which is adorable. I love kids! I am still learning to play with toys and I love my rope toy. I love walking outside and I would be great on hikes this summer. I want to be a lap dog and get belly rubs, which are my favorite!!! I hug you all the time and I just want to melt into you when I lean on you. I can also be independent and crate well when needed. I am curious and I must smell everything!
I have beautiful brown eyes that look at you as though to say, “ok what’s next mom?” I don’t like loud noises outside when walking or just going out to the bathroom. Nor do I like cars going by. My adopters will need to be cautious of this, so I don’t get spooked on my initial walks with them. I am very loyal, and I will follow you all day while you get things done. Baths are something I am learning to enjoy. I am such a joy, my fosters say it has been their privilege to help get me ready for my forever home.
I am just so full of love and excitement, and I would be a great family pet! Someone who can match my energy will be great since I play like a puppy!!! I am super smart & strong for my stocky self and I am learning new commands every day. I have filled out beautifully in my foster home. I arrived weighing 45lbs but am up to about 60 pounds fully healthy now. I am vaccinated, spayed and heartworm negative. They would keep me but they want to continue fostering to help other dogs in need.
I am being fostered in Dyer, TN. If interested, please fill out an application today! You must be 21 or older to adopt me.
