We are reposting precious Rory! As darling as he is, he has received only a single application.
Rory Red is a super cute and curious Texas Heeler with a gorgeous sandy red coat and a wiggle butt nub. He is about a year old and a GREAT size at 36 pounds. He is house trained and knows how to use a dog door!
Rory is great in the car and loves to be spoiled with a pup cup. Rory loves to meet new people but can be somewhat hyper. He just LOVES the attention so much!
Rory is still very much a puppy, but with continued training, structure, and patience, he will complete someone's family! Rory is loyal and cuddly and loves to give kisses. He's also a talker and a great alert dog and would love to let you know when someone is at the door. He already knows sit and down but could use some work on learning focus. This will help him with all the other fun commands he wants to learn, such as recall!
Rory loves toys so much that he drags them outside to play with. He has been known to rip stuffies apart.
Rory is good with other dogs, his size or larger (no small dogs), after slow introductions. He would love to have a doggy pal but would do best with a friend who can set boundaries and keep him in check. True to the Heeler in him,
he can be pushy! He enjoys doggie wrestling as well as a good game of chase. He loves frisbee and fetch but doesn’t really like to give up the toy for it to be thrown again. He can jump super high and far when chasing a ball.
Rory really is a good boy and would love and deserves a furever family! He would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and would not be well suited for an apartment. He loves kids but is still learning not to jump and to keep his
exuberance in check, so would do best with kids over the age of 10. No cats or small mammals as Rory’s prey drive is high.
Rory is neutered, on preventatives and up to date on his vaccines. He is being fostered in Fredericksburg, VA.
