Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I’m Skye, and my hopes are sky-high that my new best friend is reading this right now! I’m a thirteen-pound, one-year-old male chihuahua, fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on heartworm medication. I have some problems that will require patience and training, but I know I have the potential to be a Very Good Boy!
My previous owner abandoned me in their home when they moved out; I was there for four days before someone found me. I was terrified! They didn’t take good care of me before they left, but my new foster family has been working hard on my training. I wasn’t socialized or taught any rules, so I’m very scared of new people, and I bark when I see dogs or people I don’t know.
I have boundless puppy energy and love to walk on my leash and go out in the yard. I’ll need to stay on the leash or have a fenced yard since the sight of a squirrel, cat, or deer is far too tempting! When I’m not outside, I love to have a rousing play session with my toys. I also love to snuggle and stay close to my human.
I know I have some challenges, but I hope you won’t hold them against me since they aren’t my fault! I’ll need an experienced adopter who is willing to put in the extra work and get me the training I need. I will need time and patience to open up and acclimate to another new home, but with the right person’s love and dedication, the sky’s the limit!
Skye’s adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting Skye, please DO NOT SEND A MESSAGE TO OUR RESCUE GROUP. We are too busy placing dogs in great homes to answer messages and inquiries through the listing site.
