Hey there! I'm Satchmo, and I'm one happy and energetic boy! I'm a ball of energy, always ready to go and play, and I'm looking for an active family who can keep up with me. I'm really hoping to find a family who can help me continue my training and work on my manners with me. I love people, and I'm friendly both inside and outside. I'll follow you around the house, just wanting to be near and bask in your attention. And if you give me a belly rub? Forget about it - I'll be your best friend forever! I'm a big fan of snuggles and cuddles, and I'll always be happy to curl up next to you. However, I do have a little quirk - I'm a bit picky about my dog friends. So, if you already have pets at home, it's a great idea to bring them along for a meet-and-greet so we can all get to know each other. That way, we can make sure we'll be the best of companions. FRAs wishes to promote pet-friendly environments, services, and activities in Rowlett and surrounding communities.

Friends of Rowlett Animals (FRAs) is an all-volunteer 501 (c) (3) Texas organization founded in 2004. FRAs is working to improve communication between the City of Rowlett Animal Services and the community. By partnering with our local animal shelters, networking with animal rescue groups, utilizing community resources and social media, as well as conducting off site adoption events and fund raisers, we are able to help increase animal adoptions.
